Cookie and local-storage policy, plus terms and privacy, for the AIRBAG airbag crash data reset service (Torque Lab — info@torquelab.co.uk).
Terms and conditions
By submitting a dump, contact form, or otherwise using this website, you agree to these terms.
1. Lawful repair use only
You confirm that you are authorised to work on the vehicle or module, and that you will use cleared files only for lawful repair. You must not use this service to defeat safety systems, commit fraud, or process stolen modules.
2. Bench work - not diagnostics
AIRBAG is a file reset workflow for SRS ECU dumps read on the bench. It is not a diagnostic tool and not for coding while the module remains in the vehicle. Remove the ECU before reading or writing memory.
3. Correct module and dump size
You are responsible for selecting the correct airbag part number and uploading a dump whose size matches the listed Memory/file size. Incorrect dumps may fail processing or risk module damage.
4. No safety guarantee
Airbag systems are safety-critical. After rewrite you must verify coding, configuration, and SRS status with appropriate workshop procedures and equipment. We are not liable for incorrect installation, mismatched dumps, or vehicle damage arising from misuse.
5. Data you send
Files and contact details you submit are used to process your request and reply to you. See the privacy and cookie sections below. Do not upload unrelated personal data.
6. Service availability
Turnaround and availability are not guaranteed. We may refuse or cancel requests that appear unlawful, incomplete, or mismatched.
This explains how we collect, use, and look after personal data on the AIRBAG service.
1. Who we are
For privacy questions, contact info@torquelab.co.uk. We process data as needed to provide bench crash-data reset and related support to professional technicians.
2. What we collect
Contact details — name and email when you use the contact form or request a cleared file.
Job details — module part numbers, vehicle make, memory type, dump file name/size, and messages you send.
Dump files — binary files you upload for lawful repair processing.
Technical storage — browser localStorage for queues, requests, and cookie consent.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to process reset requests, reply to you, match modules, improve service reliability, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal basis
Where UK GDPR / data protection law applies, we rely on steps needed to perform a contract or pre-contract request, legitimate interests in running a repair service securely, and consent where you accept optional storage via the cookie banner.
5. How long we keep it
Request and contact data are kept only as long as needed to complete the job, handle follow-ups, and meet record-keeping needs, then deleted or anonymised. You can clear localStorage in your browser at any time.
6. Sharing
We do not share personal data with advertisers. We may use trusted processors (for example email or hosting) strictly to deliver the service, or disclose information if required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or object to certain uses. Email info@torquelab.co.uk. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect uploads and contact data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
9. Children
This service is for professional bench use. It is not directed at children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Standalone copy: privacy.html.
Cookie policy
This section explains what we store in your browser when you use this website.
Do we use tracking cookies?
We do not currently set third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for consent again where required.
Essential local storage
We use your browser’s localStorage (similar in purpose to essential cookies) so the site can function:
Upload queue — stores dump reset requests you submit (module, file metadata, email) until processed.
Contact messages — stores messages sent via the contact form on this device.
Cookie preference — remembers whether you accepted or declined optional storage via the consent banner.
Your choices
When you first visit, a popup asks you to Accept or Decline optional storage. Essential site features may still need local storage to work. You can clear site data anytime in your browser settings.
How long data is kept
Consent and queued form data remain in localStorage until you clear them or we remove them after processing. They are not automatically sent to advertising networks.
